Meredith's Take 2011 Siege on Fort Yargo was another first for me. Fast adventure racing to be sure and it seemed like there were checkpoints around every corner. I enjoyed the simplicity of the race in regard to the maps and basic challenge. Moving fast and with very few mistakes was the only way to successfully clear the course before the cut off, it wasn't necessarily about making decisions of which route to take. It was a hot, but really beautiful day, and with three lake crossings, we were pretty wet and cool for the 5 hours on course. I didn't enjoy running with a 6ft floatation devise from various checkpoints, and the generally feeling of discomfort from running in wet socks, but thanks to the Injinji socks, NO Blisters.

All in all, great experience, and an impossible feat without our navigator's ability to read maps while riding on single track... Ben, you scare me.
